With premade volume fans, the base is the point where the fan connects to the natural lash. A neat, narrow base helps you achieve controlled placement without an unnecessarily bulky attachment. Retention still depends on isolation, suitable adhesive quantity, attachment technique and aftercare.
Pro tip: A 5D fan contains five extensions. Choose the fan diameter and length with the natural lash’s condition in mind; more fibres are not automatically better for every client.
